The 3‐<jats:italic>O</jats:italic>‐[<jats:sup>2</jats:sup>H<jats:sub>3</jats:sub>]‐methydopa is a valuable internal standard for the tandem MS quantification of 3‐<jats:italic>O</jats:italic>‐methyldopa, a metabolite of value in the diagnosis of aromatic l‐amino acid decarboxylase (AADC) deficiency.
